Newt Advises GOP To Listen To Marco Rubio

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Sunday that the Republican Party needs to be more moderate on immigration and welcoming to minorities, citing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s extreme views on immigration as one reason for losing the 2012 elections.

“I’d say Republicans had better listen very carefully to Marco Rubio,” Gingrich said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We also have to understand that we need to be a country of immigrants where the Republicans are seen as welcoming hardworking, competent people, not prepared to kick grandmother out.”
