Naya Rivera, star of the television show “Glee,” raised some eyebrows on Tuesday when she talked about her views on race and hygiene during a stint guest-hosting ABC’s “The View.”
Rivera made her comments as part of a discussion on the popular talk show about how often people should shower.
“I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics,” Rivera said.
“Really?” her co-host Rosie O’Donnell said.
“I feel like showering more than once a day, or every day, is such a white-people thing,” Rivera said.
Rivera added that her mother, who is half black and half Puerto Rican, showers every day, “so I’m allowed to say this.”
Social media users were quick to slam Rivera’s comments. But the 28-year-old actress took the criticism in stride:
When you get out of the shower today, get a sense of humor. Love ya!

But of course!! Because your mother’s individual practices translates to all “ethnics”
Every time TPM posts FOX, God kills a kitten. Please think of the kittens!
The kittens are safe for the moment … this is about ABC’s The View …
This girl can shower ten times a day – nothing’s gonna remove her stink.
Well, I shower every day, mostly. But when I was a kid, not so much. Turns out all that dirt and germs are good for you:
