Man-on-the-street, indeed.
MSNBC sought out a group of older white men dressed for an afternoon golf game for their take on the 2016 race in a Tuesday segment in Florida, and the men were all in agreement about one thing.
Asked by MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts who they like in the presidential race, a man clad in a striped polo, baseball hat, and sunglasses responded: “Anybody against Hillary, a Republican.”
“Probably Kasich, but anybody against Hillary,” the next man, wearing a blue polo shirt and baseball hat, said.
“Anybody against Hillary, but probably Trump,” another man, wearing a white polo, white hat, and blue-tinted sunglasses, said.
“Trump,” said the last man, who was wearing a pink polo shirt, sunglasses, and a baseball hat.
“OK, and why do you like Donald Trump?” Roberts asked the last man.
“He’s got enough money that he can be honest,” the pink polo shirt man replied.
Watch the interview, captured by TPM:
Nothing will bring the GOP voters together behind Trump more than Hillary.
Except Sanders.
Yup. And nobody will bring Dem voters out more than Drumpf.
And yeah, I’m gonna take my direction from guys who are shaped like and dress like Easter eggs. Fat old white golfers - that’s my demographic. Dying out faster than you can say ‘Mein Drumpf!’.
Oh, please, these guys are the very types who’d vote GOP if Limbaugh/Hannity were at the top of the Democratic ticket.
And these people are allowed to vote … and procreate. SMH!
