In this March 19, 2014 photo, Oregon Republican Senate candidate, Monica Wehby speaks at a candidate forum in Lake Oswego, Ore. Republicans are making a bold play for a U.S. Senate seat in Oregon, a reliably Democratic state that hasn't elected a Republican to a statewide office in more than a decade. Republicans think they've found the right candidate in Wehby, a children's brain surgeon who's raised more than $1 million and put her early opposition to the president's health law at the center of her campaign to help her party regain a Senate majority. Republican Senate candidate Dr. Monica Wehby was accused by her ex-husband of “ongoing harassment” during their divorce in 2007, according to The Oregonian, which obtained a Portland police report.

Wehby’s husband, Jim Grant, accused her of slapping him with a pad of paper, according to the report, dated Dec. 16, 2007.

“Jim said they are currently in a divorce situation and is tired of the ongoing harassment by his wife,” the report said. “Jim said over the last year Monica has pulled his hair, slapped him and thrown items at him. Jim said he had been violent with her in the past approximately three years or so ago.”

Wehby denied that Grant’s statements in the report were true. According to The Oregonian, she said that Grant had “been physical with her in the past and that she had documented it with her doctors.”

The surfacing of the Grant police report follows another one obtained by Politico last week which said that Wehby’s ex-boyfriend accused her of “stalking” him during the end of their relationship. Andrew Miller, the ex-boyfriend, told police report that Wehby showed up uninvited at his house about five times over a ten-day period.
