A Missouri state senator tweeted “F–K you” at Gov. Jay Nixon (D) Thursday morning, seemingly upset by his absence from the protests in Ferguson.

Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D), who represents the Ferguson area, has spent time in the city during the protests. KMOZ reported Wednesday that Chapelle-Nadal said she had been hit with tear gas while standing with protesters.

She continued her online criticism of Nixon on Thursday afternoon.

This does not help, no matter what you thought of his press conference or statements concerning Ferguson

  3. I’m kind of surprised that Ferguson is so well-represented by white people in local government, but is represented by a black woman in the state Senate.

I understand her anger and frustration. I realize she wants a just resolution and fair treatment of her constituents.

Someone is sticking up for all of them, at least. This is being handled so carefully. Ferguson residents need some better news.

  4. She wrote the ones with the cursing before his press conference. Looks like it was overnight last night.

  5. Every abdication of duty needs it’s Kanye moment nowadays I guess.
