Fox News has pointed to host Megyn Kelly as proof that the network is “fair and balanced.” While discussing her noteworthy grilling of Dick Cheney Thursday on NBC’s “Late Night,” Kelly stayed true to form and described herself as neither a “friend” nor an “enemy” of the former vice president.
Host Seth Myers asked Kelly if it was “terrifying” to take Cheney to task for the things he got “wrong” about Iraq.
“Not at all, no,” Kelly said. “That is what I do for a living.”
The Fox News host recalled that soon after the infamous interview, Cheney and his wife Lynne appeared at a roundtable where Politico’s Mike Allen “said ‘oh, you know Megyn Kelly of Fox News, no enemy to you, called you out in this fashion.’ And Mrs. Cheney said, ‘Of course she did. That is what journalists are expected to do.””
“I really appreciated her saying that,” Kelly added. “Because I’ve said on my own show, he’s right. I’m not an enemy of Dick Cheney and I’m not a friend of Dick Cheney. I’m a journalist who has to ask tough questions, and he came in and answered them.”

Oh, FFS. “Grilling”? “Tough questions”?
But the tag team interview with Murdoch and Ailes, that was terrifying.
This woman is a journalist like I’m a beauty pageant contestant.
Yeah, usually after the fourth or fifth take, it’s like taking candy from a baby.
I’m a journalist who has to ask tough questions
Maybe so… but the fact that you have to explain that this is your role should really tell you something about your workplace, Ms. Kelly.
