Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) is committed to doing “whatever it takes” to see meaningful gun control legislation enacted, her husband, Mark Kelly, said Wednesday at a gun control event in Tucson, Ariz.
“In the last two months, Gabby is back,” Kelly said, introducing his wife’s remarks at the event. “She is back, and she is committed to doing whatever it takes, doing whatever it takes to make sure that this Congress and this President pass and sign meaningful gun violence legislation, and to specifically make sure that right now we get a universal background check bill.”
Speaking briefly after Kelly, Giffords told members of Congress to “be bold, be courages, please support background checks.
