Kevin Williamson, a correspondent for National Review, suggested Monday that women who have abortions should be hanged.

Williamson’s tweet came in a back-and-forth on twitter that started with Williamson’s piece criticizing a blog post by actress and director Lena Dunham on why women should vote.

The key part of the exchange was captured by Charles Johnson of the blog Little Green Footballs. Here is the exchange:

In August TPM noted that Williamson was the writer who defended a passage in a piece he wrote that described an African-American boy who Williamson estimated to be about 9 years old making the “gesture of primate territorial challenge.”

  1. If it was the father’s idea, does he get hanged as well?
And is this guy “torn” on capital punishment? Seems like if he has no gray area with abortions, executions should be night and day.

  2. Oh no, there’s certainly no “war on women” going on. Definitely not. Nothing of the sort. Pure liberal hype.

  3. Hardly surprising. Isn’t this the guy who said all women should be voting for Mittens because “something something biologically predisposed to select for success and wealth and MIttens is uber-rich”? Didn’t he go on to say that Mittens having 5 sons and Obama having 2 daughters was proof that Obama had essentially been fagged-up and emasculated and that women and their tiny little minds should feel an overwhelming urge deep in their wombs to vote for Mittens because they can’t help but rather Mittens slide all up inside them and father their children instead of Obama?

The guy is a fucking neanderthal, which is par for the fucking course at National Review. His pseudo-intellectual thesaurus-in-hand articles are generally nothing more than the predictable repressed oedipal resentment-rantings from a regressive manchild who grew up hating his mother for not loving him enough.

  4. There has to be some total weird mama-hate here. Hang them? Why is it that these RWNJs always go into viciousness when talking about women and minorities?
Kevin should note 1) Abortion is legal. Therefore, it’s not “homicide.”
    2) There’s only a short step from her getting hanged to him (the expectant daddy) getting hanged.
Why are they so strange? Well, this guy is strange because the NR plays him (probably by the click) to be strange. I hope any potential women in his life read this and think, uh, sort of cute in a bald fetus way, but naaaaahhhh.

  5. He’s full of himself and shit. That’s all that’s in him…empty ego and crap.
