Moments after Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, sidestepped questions about the GOP nominee’s health in an interview, saying he has a “right to privacy,” she slammed Hillary Clinton for allowing secrecy about her health to overshadow the anniversary of 9/11.

During a Tuesday afternoon appearance on MSNBC, Conway said Trump had a physical exam before Clinton stumbled at the memorial ceremony over the weekend and would discuss his health in a TV special with physician Dr. Oz.

But when Andrea Mitchell pressed Conway on whether Trump’s somewhat zany Manhattan doctor, who infamously dashed off a short, typo-riddled letter hyperbolically endorsing Trump’s health, conducted the exam, Conway said she didn’t know what doctor did the exam because she wasn’t present.

“Remember, I’m with Dr. Oz and millions of Americans on this. I don’t know why we need such extensive medical reporting when we all have a right to privacy,” she replied, before pivoting to attacking Obamacare.

Mitchell reminded Conway that major party nominees releasing their health records is a tradition dating back to the 1970s. The MSNBC host also noted Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) allowed reporters to comb through thousands of pages of his health records in 2008.

“I agree with your premise,” Conway began. “So the question remains, why in the world did Hillary Clinton lie to everyone and conceal such an important fact for two days saying she was overheated and dehydrated and then of course hours and hours later after, unfortunately, her health became the biggest trending story of the day, not the 9/11 fallen, why wait all those hours?”

She later said, “If this is about transparency and medical records and health conditions, then why was she so furtive in the business of concealing here?”

  1. Kellyanne Conway…

    Duplicitous and Deplorable…

Am I supposed to be shocked that the Trump campaign is trying to have it’s cake and eat it too?

  2. Wow, she’s making Lewandowski look like a real genius. What a stupid statement, but I expect nothing less from the “scampaign.” I do wonder how this idiot sleeps at night…but it’s probably on a big pile of money. She’s now the “prank monkey” for her despicable boss. Enjoy the ride, Ms. Conway, it’s going to come to a screeching halt in November.

  3. If he weren’t the Rethugliklan nominee there would be a double standard here.

  4. One of these days she’ll get to use some of her canned remarks on “legitimate rape”.
Pence probably believes in “legitimate rape”—someone should ask him, or see what his record shows.
