A Kansas police officer was fired on Friday for posting an ominous threat alluding to Black Lives Matter on a Dallas woman’s Facebook page, the Kansas City Star reported.

In the comment, posted shortly after five cops were killed by a gunman at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas, the Overland Park officer threatened LaNaydra Williams’ daughter.

“We’ll see how much her life matters soon,” he wrote on a collage of photos of Williams’ young daughter first posted in 2014. “Better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found 🙂 Hold her close tonight it’ll be the last time.”

Williams flagged the post to Overland Park Police Chief Francis Donchez Jr. who confirmed that his officer, whose name has not been released, made the comment. He was dismissed that day and Donchez told the Star that the department also launched a criminal investigation.

“This quick action demonstrates our commitment to our core values, including integrity and respect,” the chief said in a written statement to the newspaper.

Williams said she had no idea who the officer was or how he found her Facebook page. She told KCTV that she was shocked when she clicked on his profile and found a photograph of him in a police uniform.

“I saw that he was a cop and I was like, ‘This is outrageous. This is not acceptable at all,'” she told the news station.

The attack on law enforcement in Dallas and two fatal police shootings of black men last week have reignited heated conversations about racial profiling by police.

  1. I would be interested in seeing his file and how many incidents in it involved POC.

  2. Cops like this should be put on the list that prevents them from ever buying a gun again. He should be barred from ever wearing a uniform again.

  3. He’ll get hired within the year by another police force, where he’ll be welcomed with open arms and compassion, because "this was all a big misunderstanding, BLM is the real enemy, he’s a good guy with a family, everybody makes mistakes, he just wants to move on with his life, blah, blah, blah

there are no consequences for cops…but that’s going to change

  4. I really doubt it.

  5. Appearing on CNN the officer said “I didn’t intend to say everybody go threaten LaNaydra Williams’ daughter or incite violence against LaNaydra Williams’ daughter. I don’t know of a sane person that would do that. That’s not what I meant, Don."

The officer is a member of Cops For Donald “Racial Healer” Trump.
