One issue that’s been hounding Jon Huntsman lately is speculation that he might run as a third-party or independent candidate if the GOP primaries don’t fall his way. He didn’t exactly smack down the idea on Thursday in an interview with Neil Cavuto on FOX News.
“I’m not running as an independent, I’m running as a Republican,” he said. But when pressed by Cavuto what happens if he doesn’t succeed, Huntsman didn’t directly address the question.
“Well, there will not be failure on our part,” he said. “We’re going to prove that point in New Hampshire.”
