John Mary, one of the men charged as a co-conspirator in connection with political blogger “Constitutional” Clayton Kelly, is pleading guilty in the case alleging that Kelly photographed Sen. Thad Cochran’s (R-MS) wife for an anti-Cochran video.

Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest confirmed to The Clarion-Ledger that Mary, one of the three men who had been charged in the case, was pleading guilty to conspiracy charges related to Kelly photographing Cochran’s bedridden wife Rose at the nursing home where she resides.

According to the Clarion-Ledger’s Sam Hall, Mary will get five years probation and no jail time.

Mary, going by the name of John Bert, corresponded with Kelly over Facebook between Feb. 22 and May 14 ahead of Kelly’s visit to the nursing home, according to the incident report and affidavits related to Kelly’s arrest.

Mary previously hosted a conservative talk radio show on which state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) was a frequent guest. McDaniel lost a primary challenge in a June 24 runoff, but has yet to concede the election.

Another man charged in the case, Mark Mayfield, was found dead on June 27 in an apparent suicide.
