House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) told reporters Wednesday that he wouldn’t comment on allegations by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) that the CIA was illegally spying on Congress.

“There’s an independent [inspector general]’s investigation of this CIA issue and until there’s a report I think I’ll keep my opinions to myself,” he said.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) stood by Feinstein on Tuesday, while Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) declined to comment but said he’s watching the issue closely.
