A NBC reporter tried in an unconventional way to get Vice President Joe Biden to say Thursday whether he would run for President.
She shouted her questions to him from a distance as he stood outside the Naval Observatory waiting for South Korean President Park Geun-hye to arrive.
It was a style reminiscent of the infamous “what about your gaffes?” question shouted to GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney during the 2012 election.
“Are you running for President?” NBC reporter Kristen Welker shouted at Biden.
“I’ll answer in Korean,” Biden said, to some laughter.
“Have you made your decision yet?” Welker shouted.
“I can’t hear you,” he said.
“Have you made your decision yet?” Welker called out, even louder.
Biden held up his hands and laughed.
“Do Democrats deserve your decision, Mr. Vice President?” Welker asked.
“I’ll tell you what,” he said. “It’s good to see you all.”
MSNBC played the clip multiple times on air on Thursday. Welker also tweeted about her question:
