Comedian Jimmy Fallon mocked former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R) on Tuesday for telling the Associated Press he probably doesn’t “have the best credentials” to be exploring a Senate run in neighboring New Hampshire.
Addressing carpetbagging claims in an interview with the AP, Brown said “Do I have the best credentials? Probably not. ‘Cause, you know, whatever. But I have long and strong ties to this state.”
Fallon came up with a few Scott Brown campaign slogans to fit that nonchalant approach in his “The Tonight Show” monologue.
“I’m Scott Brown. If you have time, vote for me. If not, that’s cool. #totescool,” Fallon proposed.
The slogans only got lazier from there: “Scott Brown for Senate. Or Whoever. Whatever. Forever,” or simply “Hey, sup?”
Brown took the joke in stride, thanking Fallon for the help Wednesday on Twitter.
.@jimmyfallon appreciate the help on campaign slogans. #totescool is trending in NH or #whatever.

Fallon didn’t spare Iowa Senate candidate Joni Ernst either in his monologue, joking that the campaign ad she released Tuesday touting her experience castrating hogs might as well have said she “grew up throwing battery acid in peoples’ faces.”
