Republican Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren have canceled all campaign events for Monday in the Massachusetts Senate race, due to Hurricane Sandy.
The Boston Globe reports that the two each held a last-ditch series of events on Sunday. Brown appeared in Springfield, Lowell, and Worcester, and Warren gave an energetic speech to the Lynn Democratic City Committee Annual Breakfast.
Warren also told reporters that she hoped the weather would still allow for the candidates’ final debate to go forward, which is scheduled for Tuesday night.
The PollTracker Average shows Warren leading, 51.4 percent to 44.6 percent.
