A heavily damaged vehicle is sitting in the roadway on Constitution Avenue at First Street NW, at the northwest corner of the Capitol complex, TPM’s Dylan Scott reports. The vehicle was too heavily damaged to determine make or model from a distance. It is not clear if the vehicle is connected to the reported gunfire that put the Capitol on lockdown Thursday afternoon. Police have cordoned off the area and are moving bystanders past the scene, Scott reports.
