Federal officials told reporters Monday that two problemtic pieces of HealthCare.gov had been fixed in recent days.

The issues were, according to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services spokeswoman Julie Bataille:

  • Slow responsiveness when users tried to view and filter their health plan options. Parts of the system were reconfigured, Bataille said, and now the feature is loading in seconds, rather than minutes.
  • Some users had been encountering a blank page where their eligibility notice should have been at the end of the application process. That page is now displaying properly, Bataille said.

Asked by TPM how pervasive these problems had been, Bataille declined to be more specific or comment on whether the site’s overall performance would improve now that they have been resolved.

“This is a continuous process,” she said. “We are working on many other problems on our punch list.”
