In her new memoir, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley discusses allegations of an affair that surfaced during her 2010 gubernatorial campaign, according to Politico. The book, “Can’t Is Not An Option,” spans her childhood to her time as governor. Haley also laments the general impression of her state’s politics as characterized by “last-minute dirty tricks, anonymous phone calls and personal attacks.”
Haley is one of several prominent newcomer politicians to detail their lives in a memoir. Sens. Scott Brown and Rand Paul have written books, and Marco Rubio has one set to be released in June.
