Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he emerged from his meeting with President Obama on Monday “feeling better” about the administration’s strategy toward Syria.
“It is all in the details, but I left the meeting feeling better than I felt before about what happens the day after and that the purpose of the attack is going to be a little more robust than I thought,” Graham told The New York Times.
Graham and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) met with Obama as part of the administration’s effort to build congressional support for a military strike targeting the Assad regime in Syria. At a news conference following the meeting, McCain said it would be “catastrophic” if Congress does not approve military action.
