The Boston Herald’s Joe Battenfield asked Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), widely thought to be a possible running mate for Mitt Romney, a key question: Could she take Joe Biden in a debate?
Ayotte laughed. “Certainly, debating Joe Biden would be quite enjoyable,” she said. “Because let’s face it, he’s got a very different vision for this country than I do.”
Battenfield suggested trying to provoke Biden into making a gaffe. “I don’t think there’s probably anything we’d have to do, to make that happen,” Ayotte said.
“It’s certainly an honor to be mentioned for consideration as vice president, but serving New Hampshire in the Senate is the greatest honor I could ask for,” Ayotte said.
