Democratic presidential frontrunner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified on Thursday before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, a long-awaited event that provided catnip for her Republican presidential opponents.
Ex. Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Benghazi evidenced “incompetent” policy:
Benghazi security failures were a stunning example of an incompetent foreign policy. @HillaryClinton’s role as SOS deserves scrutiny today.
— Jeb Bush (@JebBush) October 22, 2015
Bush also offered a #TBT shoutout to Mitt Romney:
3 yrs ago today Obama sneered at @MittRomney with “80s want their foreign policy back” As Putin/Assad meet, clear we need US leadership back

Mike Huckabee, a former governor of Arkansas, jumped in with rhymes:
Chris Stevens died, Hillary Clinton lied, and the Obama administration tried to cover it up. Time to tell the truth! #Benghazi
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) October 22, 2015
.@HillaryClinton – It’s not about why Chris Stevens was IN #Benghazi, it’s about why he wasn’t rescued OUT!
— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) October 22, 2015
Rep. Cummings quoted me. Yes, I did say “warning calls from dying Americans” in #Benghazi were ignored. Glad it’s now in the record!

GOP front-runner Donald Trump didn’t offer his own thoughts, but retweeted a supporter calling Clinton’s testimony “HORRIBLE”:
“@toddinwichita @realDonaldTrump Hillary is doing a HORRIBLE job at #BenghaziHearings reading from the script. #pathetic . She is no leader”

The conservative news outlet Breitbart published an “exclusive” from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), condemning Clinton’s handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks, writing that she showed “little interest in the deteriorating situation in Libya.”
Rubio later tweeted in support of Benghazi committee chair Trey Gowdy, while still building his campaign email bank:
SIGN and stand with Trey Gowdy as he uncovers the truth about Hillary Clinton’s actions as Secretary of State.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) had tweeted to trumpet his standing in recent polls, but not about Clinton’s appearance before the committee. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, ex-Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Ohio Gov. John Kasich were still silent on the proceedings.

But your bro kept us safe?
Keep talking, JEB! - people like to hear your opinion…
Despite what these buffoons bleat about, if you don’t have the opportunity to watch the hearing live, our dear Hilliary is kicking GOTP bootie.
Calmly, seriously, with facts, and with barely withheld disdain.
The Atlantic had this up a couple of days ago about Donald telling ugly truths and Jeb! averting his eyes from it.
