After participating in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun violence Wednesday, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and her husband, Mark Kelly, will visit President Barack Obama, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said.
“Everyone here was heartened to hear Gabrielle Giffords testify today and the president is looking forward to seeing her,” Carney said at the White House daily briefing, according to Politico.
The meeting will take place at the White House.
