The panel of the Fox News show “Outnumbered” debated Wednesday whether removing the Confederate flag was a “slippery slope” to the loss of America’s history.

“I think it’s a slippery slope,” former CIA officer and the show’s lone male panelist (or “#oneluckyguy”) Mike Baker said. “I don’t really care about the Confederate flag. I get it. I also get the point that we’re doing something that’s tangible that we can feel good about, right? This is not gonna have any impact on crazies with a gun. That’s not gonna make any difference about the presence of evil.”

“Outnumbered” co-hosts Melissa Francis and Andrea Tantaros agreed with Baker’s view, adding that the Confederate flag should be removed from the grounds of state capitols.

“But then at some point someone’s gonna say ‘I think we ought to look at the text books and see exactly how we write about the Civil War history,’” Baker said.

“Let’s sterilize it all so we don’t offend anybody,” Baker added.

“When you talk about wiping away history, how ignorant do you want us to become?” co-host Harris Faulkner said. “Do you want us not to have any memory at all?”
