Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) attributed House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s primary loss to an “anti-incumbent” fever among the GOP base.
“Our constituents are very angry at this administration and the way they’re running this country, and they’re angry at us and our leadership, the Republicans, because we’re not stopping them from doing it,” he said.
“I get that all the time. It’s gotten fever pitched. They’re ready to go after anybody that represents Washington,” Fleming continued. “There’s very much of an anti-incumbent fever right now.”
I’ve got a fever and the only prescription it is more obstruction.
I get the sense that Cantor lost because of low voter turnout, and those who did show up were hard core right wing activists who read redstate and listen to AM radio.
Better them than the Democrats, whose base does not feel that the way this administration is running the country is the least bit ‘bad.’
It’s simpler than that. The G.O.P. has managed to get the RWNJ’s so riled up, there’s almost no one who’s too crazy to get their support.
Like you, moron?
Anyway, another excuse pulled from a dark place.
