Chicago mayor and former W.H. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel seems to be having some memory problems. Speaking to Chicago Radio station WLS 890AM at a news conference about his new wellness initiative, Emanuel claimed he couldn’t recall anything about the Solyndra loan. ‘I don’t actually remember that or know about it,’ he said when questioned about the loan by gathered reporters.

Emanuel was still working for the administration in 2009 when the Solyndra loan was finalized. Given how hard the administration pushed the green energy loan initiative, and the controversy that has been stirring since the company went under, it seems more likely that Emanuel simply wishes he didn’t remember his involvement.
