The Democratic National Committee has launched a website, TheGOPShutdown.com, that lays the blame for the government shutdown on the Republican Party. The site features a clock ticking off how many seconds have passed since the shutdown began.
Along with the shutdown clock, the website features a web video highlighting past statements by House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) in which he said the goal of congressional Republicans was to “cut spending” and “not to shut down the government.”
