Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Saturday added another title to his list of conservative bona fides after winning a straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

The straw poll showed Cruz at 40 percent followed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) at 30 percent, Donald Trump at 15 percent and Gov John Kasich (R-OH) at 8 percent.

Cruz spoke at CPAC on Friday, and while Trump was scheduled to appear on Saturday, he canceled to hold a rally in Kansas instead. Cruz joked during his speech to the conservative confab that Trump canceled because someone told him Fox News host Megyn Kelly, with whom he’s had a long-running feud, would be attending.
