A conservative political ad really can’t go wrong with some crude defacement of the New York Times.

The Club for Growth is out with a new ad in Arkansas that depicts Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) as a parrot for Barack Obama. There’s Obama, making promise after promise about the Affordable Care Act, and there’s a bird dutifully and mindlessly squawking away. It is not subtle.

Not content to settle only for the obvious metaphor, the ad makers then took it even further. A copy of the New York Times appears, showing the 2010 front page headline that followed Obama’s signing of the health care law. Then another squawk, followed by a dollop of the parrot’s white waste landing on the headline.
