James Carville, who recently criticized the Obama campaign’s messaging for failing to be forward-looking and not focusing enough on the problems facing the middle class, revised his assessment in an interview Tuesday morning.
“I think they’re aggressive,” Carville said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “And I think the president’s message is more honed on the middle-class, which we both think is important. Yes. I would describe myself as pleased.”
President Obama has indeed changed his messaging from last month. In a recent speech in Ohio, the president touched on exactly those points — a bigger vision for the future, focus on the middle calss — that Carville had said were missing from his campaign.
