Ben Carson is reportedly considering an offer for a cabinet position in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, according to longtime Carson ally Armstrong Williams.

Carson, who ran for president last year, had previously said that he did not feel he was qualified to serve in Trump’s administration.

Now, he is reportedly considering it over the Thanksgiving holiday:

There is some confusion as to what stage the offer is in. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday afternoon that Carson had accepted the position, citing Williams as the source, but Carson retweeted his spokesman’s message that he was still considering it.

In a Facebook post of his own earlier Wednesday, Carson said he indeed was considering serving in the Trump administration.

“After serious discussions with the Trump transition team, I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly to making our inner cities great for everyone,” Carson wrote.
