New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg was enthusiastic about President Obama’s meetings with Republicans last week and next week, saying Sunday that that it will improve the chances of being able to work well together.
“People criticize him for taking people to dinner — he should be doing that every night,” Bloomberg said on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” according to a rush transcript. “They criticize him for going and playing golf with people that he’s got to deal with. He should be doing that every weekend. You always can work better with somebody that you have a chance to build a social relationship with.”
