Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is slated to appear at a Fox News town hall in Detroit on Monday, just one day before the Michigan primary.
Hillary Clinton was invited to attend the Democratic town hall but declined, citing conflicts with her campaign schedule, according to a Fox News statement provided to TPM.
Fox News anchor Bret Baier will host the one-hour event, set to begin at 6 p.m. ET. Baier announced Sanders’ participation in his “Special Report” show Thursday night.
Baier had pressed the Democratic National Committee last month to host a primary debate hosted by Fox News. The network hasn’t hosted a Democratic debate since 2004 and Clinton hasn’t appeared on the network since 2014.
How pathetic.
Did not realize that Fox has not hosted a Democratic primary debate since 2004…Wow.
Wow. I’m not sure how this helps his campaign.
Is HRC boycotting faux news? If so, good for her!
So he is going to be on Fox bashing Hillary for a hour. Remind me, what ticket is he running for?
They also have a debate this Sunday and next Wednesday, so its not like there is some big time gap with no debates.
