President Barack Obama indirectly chided Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump during a short press conference about Friday’s job report.
“The numbers, the facts, don’t lie. I think it’s useful, given that there seems to be an alternative reality out there, from some of the political folks, that America’s down in the dumps. It’s not,” Obama told a group of reporters on Friday with Vice President Joe Biden next to him.
But the President suggested Trump’s campaign slogan, Make America Great Again, doesn’t reflect that.
“America is pretty darn great right now, and making strides right now,” he added.
Obama said he doesn’t expect Republican candidates to “change their doomsday rhetoric,” either.
Trump: That black guy is at it again. 4.9% of America is unemployed. That means millions of Americans are out of job, thanks to ObamaCare. He ought to go back to Kenya.
More of this, please, Mr. President.
Hatters gonna hat.
Don’t you worry. When we have our nominee, there will be no better spokesperson for us than our campaigner in chief, best president ever,
Actually, that’s all the Republicans. Have you heard Paul Ryan or McConnell lately? They would have you believe, oblivious to all facts, that the President has single-handedly laid America low. Only thing, Trump does demagoguery much better than them. So their repudiation of him sounds quite hollow.
