CNN host Wolf Blitzer asked GOP candidates whether Pakistan should receive foreign aid from the U.S.
Bachmann said the situation was “complicated,” and said it was a “duo answer.” She said they lie, but they also provide intelligence. “It is helping the United States.”
“At this point, I would continue that aid, but I do think the Obama policy of keeping your fingers crossed is not working,” Bachmann said.
Perry said Pakistan has shown us “time after time” that they cannot be trusted and said he wouldn’t send them “one penny” or a “dime” of taxpayer money.
Bachmann called Perry’s answer “highly naive.”
