New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a Romney campaign surrogate, said that Mitt Romney’s comments that 47 percent of Americans are “victims” was a “political analysis” in an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday.

“That certainly was a political analysis at a fundraiser but it’s not a governing philosophy,” Ayotte said.

“What I see is what the governor sees,” Ayotte said of Romney’s comments. “I see 15 million more people on food stamps that don’t want to be there. I see 47 million Americans overall on food stamps that want a good job — they don’t want to be on unemployment… Those opportunities aren’t there for them and that’s what this election is about.”
