The CEO of the Florida based-car dealer conglomerate AutoNation said he had left GOP over Republicans’ failure to stop Donald Trump.

“I left the Republican Party last year when they didn’t take on Donald Trump early,” Mike Jackson said Tuesday on CNBC, the Sun Sentinel reported. “I’m now an independent. I’m more in Switzerland.”

Jackson was not optimistic about Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s ability to pull out a surprise win in the state.

“The unthinkable is about to happen in the home state of a very popular former governor, Jeb Bush, who is now out of the race,” Jackson said. “A sitting senator who won election with very strong numbers is about to be defeated by Donald Trump for winner take all, 99 delegates.”

He also said Rubio “blundered” his last chance to win the race when he “went to schoolyard gutter tactics against Donald Trump.”

Jackson added that he had donated to Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s presidential campaign, and that he admired the “effectiveness that Governor Kasich has demonstrated.”

“But in today’s environment, I don’t know how much that counts for,” Jackson said.
