AUDIO: Phil Gingrey Explains How ‘Legitimate Rape’ Is ‘Partly Right’

Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA) told an audience in Smyrna, GA Thursday that Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) was “partly right” when he talked about “legitimate rape” last year. Gingrey, an ob-gyn and chair of the House GOP’s Doctors Caucus, drew headlines with the comments, which he later claimed were being “misconstrued.” 

Gingrey’s comments were first rerported by the Marietta Daily Journal, which shared audio of Gingrey at the meeting with TPM.
