The hostage situation in Midland City, Ala. entered its seventh day on Monday.
Jimmy Lee Dykes has been holding a 5-year-old boy in an underground bunker since Tuesday, when Dykes shot and killed the boy’s school bus driver.
Authorities have been communicating with Dykes through a PVC pipe that leads into the bunker.
