14-Year-Old Shot In Face In Reported Accident

A 14-year-old boy in Fort Worth, Texas was shot in the face on on Thursday, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Police are holding a 24-year-old man in custody in connection with the shooting. The man claims he didn’t know the gun he was showing to the 14-year-old was loaded.

UPDATE

After police initially said the 14-year-old boy “died from a single gun shot wound,” authorities are now saying he survived and is not dead
