We’re doing some informal consumer research as we plan the new TPM iPhone app and Android apps. If you have or plan to have an iPhone or an Android device, I’d be greatly in your debt if you could join me after the jump.
Okay, we want to get your feedback because you’re the prime audience for the apps we’re going to develop. I’ll keep it as short as I can. And if you’d like to answer one or more of these questions just shoot us an email at talk (at) talkingpointsmemo.com. That’s the comments email address up there at the upper right hand corner of the site.
One big thing first: we need to know whether you’re talking about iPhone or Android. So use either “iPhone” or “Android” as the subject line of your email.
1. You’re a news consumer. So you’re probably already using some news apps on your smartphone. So tell us: what’s you’re favorite? Which do you really find useful and which do you really not find useful? Simple as that.
2. Many apps do things that highly-customized versions of a website can do too. Not everything but a lot of things. So if you read TPM on our new iPhone optimized version of the site (it works on Android, too), do you feel like you’d prefer or also like to have a TPM app? Is an app something you feel you ‘need’? And if so, what other things would you be looking for it to do?
3. What are the features/services you’d most be looking for in a mobile news app?
Answer one of the questions or all three or just shoot us your thoughts in general.
Can you share your thoughts? It’ll be very helpful for us and it’ll help us in bringing you the news.
