A few points are worth noting.
First, that’s a good concession. The dog is a nice touch. As I’ve noted though, McSally has good reason to take the high road. There’s a very good chance she’ll be appointed to serve out the next two years of John McCain’s Senate term. Jon Kyl holds the seat now. But it’s been clear that’s temporary.
Another point is that national Republicans were furious McSally didn’t start raising questions about the legitimacy of the election itself – something there was zero basis for. But Rick Scott’s doing it with no more basis.
McSally had a likely fall back and thus an interest in not making false claims. But we shouldn’t second-guess her choice here. She acted honorable.
