A few TPM Readers were at Seth Moulton’s townhall last night in Amesbury, Massachusetts. TPM Reader MK went in unhappy with Moulton’s antics and wasn’t impressed with what he saw …

He was indeed a bit of a douchebag during the town hall.

He brought his parents and pointed them out in the front row, and then mentioned his month-old daughter. It felt like a tactic to try and temper hostile questions. Then, when he got them, he answers were mostly of the “I hear you, I work for you, but we can agree to disagree” sort. I don’t think it got him many changed minds. The organizers re order the whole thing, I think it’s been posted somewhere.

There has indeed talk in the district about primarying him in 2020, names are being floated, and CrowdPAC mechanics are being researched. It would be interesting to see him go. It’s a shame though. I was happy to see Tierney go, it would suck to have two members go bad in a row. I’m starting to wonder if Eldrige Gerry put a curse on the district that’s lasted longer than the Curse of the Bambino.
