A 51 year old Illinois man, Ramon Conaway, has been convicted of making a false threat to detonate an explosive device and influencing a federal officer by threat. The conviction stems from a stand-off with federal agents last September in which Conaway threatened to kill the president and burn a Quran.
Conaway faces up to 5 years on the first charge and 10 on the second, in addition to various fines.
