The Lt Gov. of Alaska Byron Mallott has resigned out of the blue over what Gov. Bill Walker calls “inappropriate comments.” But if you want to read on to see what the “inappropriate comments” were, you’re out of luck. Because they were apparently so inappropriate that all involved refuse to say what the comments were.

At a news conference Gov. Walker read out a statement: “Byron recently made inappropriate comments that do not reflect the sterling level of behavior required in his role as lieutenant governor. I learned of the incident last night. Byron has taken full responsibility for his actions and has resigned.”

You could go to this page at the Alaska state government website to learn more about former Lt. Gov Mallott. But his bio has already been replaced by that of Valerie “Nurr’araaluk” Davidson, who was immediately sworn in prior to evidence of Mallott being scrubbed from state websites.
