Michele Bachmann Memoir To Be Published This November

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will parlay the national fame she’s built on the presidential campaign trail into what might be the next political best-seller.

The AP reports Bachmann has signed a deal with Sentinel, the conservative subsidiary of Penguin Books, to publish a memoir this November.

The book “is currently untitled,” AP reports.

Sentinel has published best-sellers from other conservative superstars like Mike Huckabee. From the company website:

Some of Sentinel’s most noteworthy bestsellers include Do the Right Thing and A Simple Christmas by Mike Huckabee; A Patriot’s History of the United States by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen; 48 Liberal Lies About American History by Larry Schweikart; The Persecution of Sarah Palin by Matthew Continetti; The Truth About Hillary by Edward Klein; A Matter of Character by Ronald Kessler; Do-Gooders by Mona Charen; and The War on Christmas by John Gibson.

Talk of a Bachmann book began in June, when the New York Times reported Bachmann had signed a deal with Sentinel to write the book with the Wall Street Journal‘s John Fund, one of the most vocal activists in the conservative anti-“voter fraud” movement.

The Times reported the proposed book “was largely biographical, an account of the formation of her political and economic ideas.” The paper noted that House members like Bachmann “are allowed to receive royalties from book sales but not advances.”

Recent polling has shown that Bachmann’s campaign has started to lose its mojo following Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s entrance into the presidential contest, but Bachmann remains one of the most popular politicians among the tea party set, who have helped make her into a national figure.
