Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer just spoke about the “unbelievable tragedy” that is today’s shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
In a press conference just now, Brewer said: “I am just heartbroken. Gabby is more than just a colleague — she’s also a friend.”
She said she ordered the state’s flags to be flown at half mast, adding that “we are in constant contact with some officials” about details of the shootings.
