Carly Fiorina (R) has put another $1.1 million of her own money into her Senate race, the LA Times reports.
Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, also loaned her campaign $2.5 million last year.
At the end of the first quarter, she led her two Republican opponents in cash on hand, with $2.8 million on hand to Chuck DeVore’s $411,000 and Tom Campbell’s $1.1 million. The TPM Polltracker Average shows Fiorina trailing Campbell in the primary by eight points.
But she trailed Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer by almost $6 million in cash on hand. Fiorina also trails Boxer in the polls, but only by an average of 2.8 points.
No word yet on whether Fiorina will spend some of the new cash on another demon sheep ad.
