Robert Gates’ tough take on the Obama administration will debut in a higher slot on the New York Times best seller list than Gabriel Sherman’s tough take on Roger Ailes.

Politico’s Mike Allen reported Thursday that “Duty,” the former defense secretary’s chronicle of his time at the Pentagon will debut in the top spot on the list. “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” Sherman’s unauthorized biography on Ailes, will start at no. 9.

Sherman talked to TPM this week about some of the criticism he’s received for his 500-plus page tome, as well as the very real possibility that the Fox News chief hired private investigators to spy on him.
