Gun rights supporters in New Hampshire are not happy about former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) coming to their state.

The New Hampshire Firearms Coalition — “New Hampshire’s only NO-COMPROMISE gun rights organization” — plans to auction off an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle at an anti-Scott Brown protest it is organizing for Thursday.

“The rules for the raffle are really simple, to be eligible to win you must fill out an entry form, be present at the protest event when the winners name is called and be wearing some blaze orange,” the group wrote in a blog post on its website this week. “And the most important thing, the winner MUST be eligible to receive a non-Massachusetts compliant AR15. That’s right, this firearm cannot be sold or transferred to a resident of Massachusetts or any other state that restricts the size of magazines or the features on a firearm such as flash suppressors and collapsible stocks. We only raffle off guns that have the features Massachusetts based politicians like Scott Brown would prohibit if given the opportunity.”

Financing for the raffle was provided by Gun Owners of New Hampshire, The Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, The New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition, and several anonymous donations.

The protest is planned for Thursday at 6 p.m. in Nashua.

Earlier this week, Republican state Rep. JR Hoell told a conservative blog that if Brown does in fact answer the call of Republicans trying to draft him into running against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), “firearms and ammo” may be necessary to protect the state from what he called Brown’s “RINO,” anti-gun policies.
